In July 2024, Plymouth CAST published a tender to standardise all of its MFD portfolio, working to harmonise all existing contracts to a common end date. Following a competitive open market process, BAYtek were successful in securing this contract. The portfolio was challenging in that we are a Trust of 34 schools, providing education across a large geographical area, spanning 6 Local Authorities.
The portfolio had a number of devices already out of contract, multiple existing incumbent providers, varying copy cost charges and varying contract end dates. Following contract award, BAYtek were pro-active in supporting the Trust to formulate an implementation plan, dealing firstly with our schools that urgently required device upgrades, then formulating a clear phased implementation plan for the remainder of our stock. These solutions provided our schools with new improved devices, greater functionality, and significant reductions in their copy charges. Our account manager, has worked quickly to develop meaningful relationships with our schools and their leaders, identifying further efficiencies in relation to early terminations, subsequently providing our schools with upgraded devices and further savings against their existing copy charges. BAYtek are a local provider that work in partnership to fully understand and support the Trust’s ambitions in relation to improving its MFD estate, sustainability objectives, and more importantly, its end user experience.
